May Photo a Day Challenge

Since May is my favorite month, I'll make this challenge extra special. :) Instead of Photo a Day, I'll make it PhotoS a Day. I'll still follow the list from fatmumslim, but will also include a favorite or random photo(s) that I stumble upon my hard drive. Sounds so self-promoting no? hehe. Walang pakelamanan ng trip. ;p

Sadly for the last week of May, wala na akong chance mag halukay ng random photos :( e ayoko naman mandaya kaya hanggang May 24 na lang yung extra picture :)

the most memorable training i've ever attended was "how to be an impactful presenter". dito, na-experience kong pagtawanan... in a good way. :) i never thought na kaya ko palang magpatawa ng audience in ENGLISH. hahaha. i loved how Sir Mike and Ms. Nini boosted my confidence on stage and i still have the notes they gave me during the training that say "You rock!" and "Nahulog ako sa kinauupan ko" :)

May 18 - something i made
i have this habit of  making paper boats whenever i'm waiting for orders in fastfood

 and because i couldn't resist the nerdy urge to include this... mula sa dugo't pawis ng H-A-R-D SAS coding ;p

May 17 - snack
buti na lang naisip ng Oishi ang mga murang alternative sa Coco Crunch ;) 10pesos only.

21st birthday celebration/graduation party at home with my beloved statsocers. tinakpan ako ni Ronald. ;p one of the noisiest celebration i've ever had. :)

May 16 - what I'm reading

I borrowed this from a friend more than a couple of years ago pero hanggang chapter 1 pa lang ako. hehe. Possible reasons: 1. hindi ko talaga trip magbasa 2. hindi pa ako ready then for the quest to find my One True Love. yun naman! ruma-Ramon Bautista! hahaha. Could this day's photo challenge be a sign to finally give this book (and quest) a chance? hehehe ;)

Instead of one true love, the person ang nahanap ko, I found my love for photos and travel! This is the first time I've ever held a DSLR. Special thanks to Joey the Dennis-Trillo-slash-Gary-Lising-look-alike for introducing me to this wonderful creation! And thanks to Mel for being my first model. :)

May 15 -Love
It took me quite some time to decide what to shoot for this day. No romantic loved one. Family and friends, yes, of course, pero over-exposed na sila sa blog ko. hehe. Heart sign or the word love, um, scrap. Honestly, I thought of taking a picture of myself, because learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all, i thank you. pero masyado naman narcissistic. hahaha. To cut the long story short, I chose the sunrise. I may not know the best verse in the bible to describe God's love, but in my own interpretation, para siyang sunrise, His simplest (yet very magnificent) way to show His love for us. New day, new beginning, 2nd, 3rd or nth chance to go back to Him no matter how spiritually low we have gone. :)

And because I am very fascinated with sunrise and sunsets :)

May 14 - Grass

first thing I did today was look at the photo challenge list. ok, grass, saan ako hahanap ng grass sa sementadong syudad? good thing pagpunta ko sa backyard para magluto ng breakfast for myself, tumambad sa akin ang talahiban sa aming likod bahay. hindi talaga ako magugulat kung may bigla na lang ahas na lumitaw sa bahay namin. hahaha. Post-processed na 'to sa photo toaster, I was thinking of using a DSLR for macro effect of the morning dew, kaso umiral ang aking katamaran, ayan tuloy, mas malabo ang foreground. pero, I still like it ;) morning dews are simple delights I appreciate :)

because it's my lola's birthday today, here's their family picture back in Christmas of '95(?). My papa looks like Sen. Tito Sotto in this photo. hahahaha. :) kahit more likely hindi niyo po ito mababasa, Happy Birthday Lola Beng! I love you! Thanks for giving me the best father, tito's and tita's in the world! :)

May 13 - Mum
We usually celebrate Mother's day in Pampanga, triple celebration kasabay ng fiesta at birthday ng lola. Kaso for this year, my mama can't join us because of daughter duties :) so right after the LUUUUUNCHES at afternoon nap ko, balik Manila na kami to greet and kiss our Mama for mother's day. :) Ito na naman ang frustration ko about writing, I really wish yung talent ko magkwento in person ma-translate ko sa blog writing para madocument ko kung gaano ka-funny ang nanay ko. hehe :) Love you Ma!

Series of Pampanga-related pictures na 'to. hehe. Here's my first birthday celebration in Pampanga! Bilang first child, apo at pamangkin ako, bongga yan! walang Jollibee mascots at syempre wala akong naalala, pero based sa mga kwento ng mga tita ko at sa pictures, feeling ko bonggels siya. hehehe. ;p Pag nakita niyo yung close up pictures ng balloons at cake, "Happy Birthday, Princess! -from Tita _____" wala atang ginastos parents ko dito. hehe. Hmmm, I don't remember the last time I blew a birthday candle. Sana meron this year, ehem ehem. hahaha ;p

May 12 - something that makes me happy
sakto for this day, nasa Pampanga ako, meaning I will see these cute kids! happy ate, tita and ninang! ok, I admit, may konting struggle on my part to get their attention, because they don't see me often, so pag dumadating ako, kailangan may dala akong suhol para makipaglaro sila sa akin. the kids of today talaga, lalo na pag may sumpong, kailangan may suhol muna. hehe. :) oh, and can i just share how i love the talking tom iPhone app? pang-akit talaga ng attention ng mga bagets! never fails! tried and tested! :) mabura na lahat ng apps ko, wag lang ang nagsasalitang pusa. hehe. I'm so excited for my upcoming nephew!!! <3

In relation to what makes me happy ay ang picture na ito, happy ako pag may exams na natatapos back in college! haha. this was taken at some studio in SM North after our Stat 131 exam. :)

May 11 - kitchen
stuff from our kitchen. sa sobrang init, everyday kami halos nagma-mais con yelo. kaya marami kaming stock ng corn at gatas. note that hindi namin ito nilalagyan ng close up at sardinas. hehe. segue, nung nag grocery kami for this month, hindi makadecide parents ko kung anong lulutuin nila for my birthday, so bumili sila ng spaghetti, palabok at pancit canton noodles. masyado ng mahaba buhay ko. hahaha :)

wala 'tong connection sa kitchen, kung meron man, yun ay mahilig lang kaming kumain. First teamfriends picture (with me) back in March 2009. Aaaaw :)

May 10 - favorite word
Well, it's actually a phrase. :)

because it's santacruzan month... tada! That's me with my cousin back in the late 80's. Kapalit na siguro 'to ng nabigo kong pangarap na sumali sa Little Miss Philippines. :)

May 9 - something I do everyday

I wait. every. single. day.

1 minute of fame which actually turned out as my face palm moment every time I see audience participation on TV. I'm just so thankful na hindi pa masyadong uso ang youtube nung 2005 (yes, I tried googling this episode, haha). If you haven't heard of the story, that's me being serenaded and hugged by Christian Bautista on national television. ;p

May 8 - a smell I adore
I've tweeted this several times and I will say it again. Salonpas Spray is the greatest invention. Ever. Just the smell of it makes all my muscle pains fade away. Without the pain in my balbon. hahaha ;p

Was looking at old tagged photos in facebook and saw 2 separate pictures with Tito Ric and his eldest Janvier. Kyot. :)

May 7 - someone who inspires me
It's sooo hard to choose one, kaya ayan. :) Kung si Dawn Zulueta ang life peg ko physically, sila ang life peg ko sa totong buhay. :)

My Mama and Papa. Syempre, sila ang major inspirations ko kaya ako lumaking mabait na bata at masipag magtrabaho. Double Tsarot! Hahaha ;p Pinalaki ako ng walang masyadong pressure sa buhay, ok lang na walang honors sa school (pero meron pa rin minsan, char!) Relative to a lot of parents I know, hindi sila strict, ok lang maglaro sa kalsada, mangapit-bahay, mag-overnight at makipagdate (pero wala pa rin, takte! hahaha). Kahit mukhang "anak, bahala ka sa buhay mo" ang peg nilang pagpapalaki samin, sobra silang maasikaso hanggang ngayon to the point na hindi na ako masyadong domesticated. hehe. At kahit parang magbabarkada lang kami mag usap, andun pa rin yun sense of authority nila pag seryosong usapan na. In short, takot pa rin kami sa kanila :) When I become a parent, sana matutunan ko rin yung perfect mix of being lenient and firm sa magiging kids ko at sana maging kasing bait ko rin yung mga bagets para di masakit sa ulo. Triple tsarot! ;p

Tita Mae and Tita Vangie, 2 of my favorite titas. :) Actually, lahat ng tita ko, favorite ko kase favorite pamangkin ako ng lahat. ;p Sila ang inspirations ko sa pagiging generous sa family hanggang sa mga extended family members. Sa kanila ko first-hand naririnig ang true OFW stories and dramas. Sobrang nakaka-touch, nakaka-bilib and yes, nakaka-inspire. :)

 In line with this day's theme, ang ishi-share kong pictures ay ang unforgettable reunions ko with my favorite titas in Japan and Hawaii last year. :) At nasa life checklist ko na magkaroon ng ganyang pictures with my parents in the future! :)

May 6 - me
Hindi ako masyadong vain lately e, saka mej malaki tignan mukha ko pag nagvavanity picture sa phone, so ayan na lang, nakita ko sa dingding namen. (parang butiki lang. hahaha.) ;p my 4-month old self. ang cute cute ko! laki laki ng cheeks! at baby pa lang, sagana na sa buhok ;p

Tagged photo on Facebook last Sunday ;) Roll On Coron! My favorite local destination, most memorable domestic trip (so far) and craziest company! Lahat na ata ng kamalasan nasa trip na 'to, foot injury (pansinin niyo paa ko, may bandage), delayed-turned-canceled flight, lindol at bagyo. kapalit ng 400-peso fare. hehe. pero all worth it! sobrang saya! Good times with great friends. :)

and! I'm going back to Palawan on the 25th! Can't. Friggin'. Wait! :)

May 5 - bird
nahirapan ako sa chalenge na 'to dahil wala akong makitang totoong bird sa kamyanilaan. hahahaha ;p so angry bird na lang.

because I had no chance to explore my hard drive to choose a photo, collage na lang ng agenda ko for Saturday. Heavenly Ace Water Spa experience with Kimmy and Nics and equally heavenly meal in Persia Grill and dessert from Sophie's Mom :) Month-long celeb nga ang birthday ko di ba? :)

 May 4 - fun!

ito funNY. WTH am I doing here? hahaha. Ito ang itsura ng pagod na turista. mainit na tubig lang ang iniinom ko diyan pero mukha akong lasheng. hahahaha. This was in Hong Kong (Dec 2011) after a very tiring alone time, 4 hours ata halos ako nakapila sa cable car tapos naligaw ako from subway to hotel, tapos nung pa-dinner na kame, gusto pa ng mga kasama kong maglakad para maghanap ng restaurant with matching pictorial sa Avenue of Stars. ang layo! ayan. pagod, pero masaya. ;)

May 3 - something I wore today

My 23 on 23rd Birthday Celebration. I know... you don't have to tell me na mukha akong addict diyan. Height ng kapayatan at kapangitan ng buhay ko yan. hahaha :) I'm just so blessed to have friends na willing mag KKB for a friend's birthday celebration kahit late na dumating from OT. Bittersweet memories. ;)
