Living THE Life :)

I've been lucky. 4 US trips in 15 months. All major expense paid by our company. Ika nga ni Patty Laurel: "What a blessing to be able to travel for work". Minsan naiisip ko, I owe it to myself to say "I've been working hard all these years for unselfish reasons, good karma ko siguro yun". Pero minsan naiisip ko rin "Teka, nagligtas ba ako ng sambayanan sa past life ko to deserve this?" Ok... OA. hahaha . :)

Kinilig ako after seeing this ad roughly a year ago:

WOW, napuntahan ko na lahat ng popular US destinations mentioned! Plus Honolulu, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Atlanta and Grand Canyon. Sinong hindi swerte? Sinooo? Grabe! Thank you, Lord! :)

Every time I travel for "business", I am more than lucky to get to experience the so called "life of the rich and the famous" na hindi ko ma-eexperience kahit yumaman pa ako dahil sa kakuriputan ko. I never got to document my plane rides in detail during my past travels to the US kase nahihiya ako sa mga amerikanong businessmen na nakakatabi ko sa plane. Baka sabihin nila, "sino ba 'tong nene na to na naligaw dito sa area namin na picture ng picture ng sarili, upuan, pagkain at view from the window" hahaha.

Ngayon ko lang to nagawa ng garapalan kase may karamay na ako. hahaha :)

During the boarding, kung may kaangasan ka sa katawan, pwede kang magsabi sa lahat ng pasaherong lalampasan mo ng "excuse me, excuse me, may dadaang prinsesa. hahaha ;p

Overflowing din ang alak. Red wine, champagne, chardonnay, name it. Kaso katamad maglabas ng passport to prove that I'm of legal age to drink. Napanglakihan ako ng mata ng isang flight attendant nung first time ko mag request ng red wine. hehe :)

 The food... haaay the food... I've heard stories telling how awful airplane foods are, well, never ko na-experience, because #1, walang libreng pagkain sa cebu pacific at zest air. hahaha. #2, ang saraaaap at ang dami ng pagkain sa business class, may time na literal na mapapagod ka ng kumain. hehe.

For this Vegas trip, I went a little adventurous and tried their Japanese selection. Mga yaki yaki at maki lang ang kaya kong Japanese food kaya adventure na 'to sa 'kin. ;)

Another feeling mayaman moments ay pag libre ang iyong access sa mga airport lounge. Libreng pagkain din. For some, pwedeng mag shower. :) gaya ng ginawa ko sa Narita dahil diretso from shift ang aking flight, meaning walang liguan bago pumunta ng aiport. hehe.

 

First sight of Nevada

Aside from the comfortable ride that makes me forget that the overall travel is 24-hour long, I also get to experience to be mayaman for a week in a pretty hotel room/suite. :) My stay at The Venetian | The Palazzo can be considered as the grandest ever! (Talagang may word na "The" sa hotel names nila, hehe)

I take pictures of each corner of my home away from home as soon as I enter the door. Kase sa isang iglap lang ay parang nadaanan na ng bagyo ang room. For some reason lahat ng laman ng bag ko ay nakakalat na lang sa buong kwarto. Hindi ko alam kung baket! hahaha. :) At least man lang mapicturan ko ang ka-engrandehan niya bago ko siya sirain. hehe :) And, hindi rin ako nagpapa room service for my entire stay dahil may baon akong sabon at shampoo, unless of course nag-uumapaw na yung basura ko at wala na akong tissue. hehe :)

Ang reklamo ko lang talaga sa mga hotel e ang kawalan ng tabo. Hello hotel people, tabo is so essential to us Pinoys! Maglagay kayo ng tabo sa mga bathrooms, please! hahaha :)

Special thanks to IHG and my big boss in Atlanta for always sending us to the States to attend conventions kahit wala naman talaga akong essential na macocontribute dun. hehe. :) Sobrang naappreciate ko rin kase I get more engaged with the company and I get to meet people na kilala ko lang sa email. Ibang feeling din yung may biglang lalapit sakin to shake my hand tapos magte-thank you sa mga reports na ginagawa ko for them. :)


Haaay buhay, alam talaga ni Lord pag wala kang balak gastusan ang mga bagay na posibleng magpapasaya sa'yo, ibinibigay Niya ng libre. :)

 *(sorry if I had to mention this) disclaimer: I did not write this to brag or get "ikaw na" comments, which I rather find sarcastic. :) gaya nga ng sabi ko, libre lang 'to so wala akong karapatang magyabang. hahaha ;p

And I'm (almost) back! Last 2 major events na lang from my Feb-Mar lagare sched and I'll be back on track. Hopefully :) For some heavenly reason, I feel so hyped. E dapat nagpapahinga ako ngayon. Kahit nung nasa Baguio ako ang hyper hyper ko, wala man lang bahid ng jetlag. Pero pass muna sa inuman, please. hehe :)

I really wish I have time to reflect, organize and post pictures from the past month, pero wala, I'm so swamped based on my to-do list. yes, contrary to popular knowledge, I am capable of doing to-do lists, hindi nga lang ganon ka-organized kase wala akong notebook, kung anong papel lang ang mahagilap gaya ng credit card bill na ito. hehe ;p

Since wala pang time, a few snippets of almost15 gig worth of pictures na lang muna. :)

2 weeks is so short! I miss them!
